A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after a crash this morning. The 16-year-old remains in hospital, after needing urgent care.
The accident, which happened around 7.30am this morning on Rainham Road North in Dagenham, has left one teenager in hospital, and has delayed drivers in the area.

Rainham Road remains closed between Dagenham Business Park and Wood Lane, as emergency services investigate the scene. While the girl’s condition is not yet clear, an investigation into the events remains ongoing.

A diversion has been set up for bus users travelling on the 103 and 409 bus routes. Police have confirmed that nobody has been arrested and their enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for the Met Police commented: “Police were called to a reported traffic collision on Rainham Road North, Dagenham at approximately 07:22am on Wednesday January 29.

“A girl aged 16 was injured at the scene and has been taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where she remains. Her condition is urgently being assessed by medical professionals as we await an update on her condition. There have been no arrests at present and enquiries continue.”

Meanwhile, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ““We were called at 7.27am today to reports of a road traffic collision in Rainham Road North, Dagenham.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also sent a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance which consisted of a paramedic and doctor in a car.

“The first paramedic arrived in less than four minutes. We treated a patient for serious injuries at the scene before taking her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
