Teenage girl hit by car on pedestrian crossing in hit and run crash in Witham

Officers are investigating a hit and run after a teenage girl was struck by a car on a road crossing in Witham. The girl was allegedly hit by the vehicle in broad daylight in Spinks Lane at around 8.15am on Friday (September 27).

The vehicle, described as 'dark', did not stop and left the scene. The victim suffered bruising to her leg. She was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing at the time of the accident.

Police want to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident. They also want to see any CCTV or dash cam footage that might have caught the incident.
