Teenage girl reported missing from Warrington home as police ask public for help

Police in Warrington are appealing to the public for help in tracing a missing teenager. Tia Thomas, 17, was reported missing from her home in the Winmarleigh Street area of Warrington at 11.44pm on Sunday 12 January.

The 17-year-old is described as white, around 5'5" tall, of proportionate build, with brown hair and brown eyes. Although she is from Warrington, Tia has links to the Runcorn area of Cheshire as well as Wrexham.

Police Constable George Unsworth, of Warrington LPU, said: “It has now been fifteen hours since Tia was last heard from and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“We have been conducting a number of enquiries to locate her since she was reported missing and would now like to appeal to anyone who may have seen her or has any other information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“We would also like to appeal directly to Tia to get in touch and to let us know you are OK, as your friends are growing increasingly concerned.”
