A teenager who kicked in the doors of the Clumsy Swan during the Summer disorder in Bordesley Green has been sentenced. The 17-year-old was spotted in a Range Rover which was used to deliberately box a Skoda in Stoney Lane.

The occupants jumped out and attacked it with bricks and hammers. The 4X4 was then driven to the Clumsy Swan in Yardley where the youth leapt out and started kicking the door of the pub, police said.

The group, the youngster was with, also attacked a man who was stood outside the pub at the time, the force said. Today, police said a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons was given a 12-month referral order for his role in the incident at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday (Sep 26).
