A teenager has been charged with kidnap after an attempt was made to abduct a schoolgirl in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police charged Michael Sehannie, of St Luke's Road, Leeds, after CCTV images were shared after a man picked up a 12-year-old girl by the waist and carried her into woodland in the city on April 23.

The girl had been on her way to school when she was approached in Old Run Road, Hunslet, near the M621 flyover, and forced the man to run off when she fought back and escaped.
