Teenager in 'critical' condition after being hit by car in Maryhill
A teenager is in "critical" condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow.
The 19-year-old pedestrian was walking along Maryhill Road near Dalsholm Road on Saturday evening when he was hit by a Mercedes E220 at around 7.40pm.
Emergency services attended and the male was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His condition has been described by medical staff as critical.

The driver of the Mercedes and his passengers were not injured. The road was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.40pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, a 19-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a Mercedes E220 motor vehicle on Maryhill Road near to Dalsholm Road, Glasgow.
"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
"The driver of the car and his passengers were not injured. Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing."
