Using this CCTV footage, Scotland Yard identified the 17-year-old attacker riding to the scene on his bike, getting into a confrontation with the victim, producing a large machete and stabbing him to the chest.
He answered ‘no comment’ to all police questions, but provided a prepared statement claiming self-defence. He was charged on 21 February with Nathan’s murder.
Following his conviction for manslaughter and possession of the machete, the 17-year-old will be sentenced on January 24, 2025 at Inner London Crown Court.
