Teenager rushed to hospital after car flips on its side in Edinburgh crash

A teenage girl was rushed to hospital following an early morning horror crash on an Edinburgh road.

Emergency services raced to Colinton Road after a vehicle collided with a parked car shortly before 3am on Sunday morning, September 22.

Pictures from the scene show a car on its side in the middle of the busy road. A large police presence was at the scene, as well as a fire engine.

A 17-year-old female was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to be assessed and police are continuing their inquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.55am on Sunday, 22 September, 2024 we were made aware of a vehicle having crashed into a stationary vehicle on Colinton Road, Edinburgh.

"A 17-year-old female was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for assessment. Enquiries are ongoing."
