Detectives are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in East Barnet.

Police were called at 8.34pm on Friday, July 9 to a funfair in Parkside Gardens, Barnet after reports of a group of men fighting and a person stabbed.

Officers attended the scene along with the London Ambulance Service, where they found a group of youths who made off on police arrival.

Police searched the area and found an 18-year-old man in Churchill Road with a stab injury.

He was taken to hospital, where his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening,

At this stage there have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing, the Met said.

It comes just weeks after a teen was stabbed in Hyde Park.

Mobile phone footage showed the victim being chased by a group of masked men armed with foot-long zombie knives and poles.

As he desperately tries to flee he slips on the grass and was set upon by a man in a grey hoody before being kicked, stabbed in the chest and struck with poles in a brutal attack lasting less than 20 seconds.

A woman filming the attack could be heard screaming: “He got stabbed! There’s a knife, there’s a knife! Oh my God, oh s***, oh God.”

At the time of the incident, the Met police said: “He has been taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.

“An investigation is underway.

“At this stage there have been no arrests.”
