Time zones on the Moon: How do you tell the time in space and why is ESA pushing for them?
Space organisations around the world are studying the best way to establish "a common lunar reference time". But how do you tell the time in space?

When the mysterious comet 'Oumuamua passed through the solar system in 2017, its odd trajectory led some to speculate it might be an alien spacecraft.
Science has proven beyond doubt that the Earth is round, dispelling the archaic notion that the planet could be flat, but that has not stopped the conspiracy theorists. The Flat Earth Society is gaining followers year on year who believe that NASA has been lying to us! But did you know that these famous faces are all Flat Earthers?
The last five-planet alignment occurred in June 2022, marking the first time in 40 years since the last celestial spectacle took place
Grains ejected from other worlds could include signs of life
Happiness and general well-being are not about money, but they do have something to do with a wallet.
Scientists believe they have found an explanation for “unusual radar signatures” found at the edge of the solar system. Icy satellites that are in orbit around Jupiter and Saturn have perplexed scientists because they are so different from both rocky worlds and most ice on Earth. The markedly different radar signatures have led to questions about how they are composed.
Scientists have analysed locks of what is believed to be Ludwig van Beethoven’s hair to sequence the genome of the prodigious composer - finding the likely combination behind his death at 56-years-old, as well as a potential affair in his paternal line. An international team of researchers led by Cambridge University analysed strands of hair from eight different locks in public and private collections, five of which were deemed to be authentic and from one male European. While unable to find a definitive cause for Beethoven's deafness or gastrointestinal problems, the researchers' findings indicate it is likely that a genetic predisposition to liver disease and a hepatitis B infection, combined with his broadly accepted alcohol consumption, contributed to his death.
The so-called trapdoor spiders are found only in Queensland and build “trap doors” out of leaves to prey on insects
Asteroids of this size only approach the planet about once per decade, according to NASA Asteroid Watch
A new rare giant species of trapdoor spider has been discovered in Queensland, Australia. In research published on March 15, Euoplos dignitas are giant golden arachnids with a body measuring approximately 2 inches in length, not including the legs. They exhibit burrow-building behaviour, and are endangered due to loss of habitat from land clearing.
Adam Driver wondered how NASA would save the world if a giant asteroid were approaching. Three space missions show the agency has a plan.
For Women's History Month, it's important to recognize Black women inventors and their groundbreaking accomplishments.

The findings suggest that mixing between the two groups resulted in mosaics of genetic variation that were acted upon by natural selection.
Relativity Space achieved a massively important milestone just before 11:30 PM ET on Wednesday, with the first ever flight of its 3D-printed rocket technology. Its Terran 1 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida, successfully clearing the pad and launch structure, and achieving 'Max Q' – or the point during the launch sequence at which the vehicle is under the most pressure in terms of atmospheric resistance and stress – and also succeeded at cutting off its main engines and separating its first stage as intended. The launch did not reach orbit, which is an extremely rare thing to happen on a new space launch platform's first ever flight anyway.
Jupiter’s moon Io has more than 400 active volcanoes on its surface.
