Temptation Island season one spoilers follow. It aired in 2019, but is currently being shown on E4 in the UK.
Temptation Island is filled to the brim with drama – yup, it even gives Married at First Sight Australia a pretty big run for its money – and, after season one's explosive finale, we were left with quite a lot of questions about what happened to the show's cast.
First things first – are Evan and Morgan, who actually met on the show, still together?
Well, hold that thought for now, because first we have to unpack exactly what went down during Temptation Island's explosive first rebooted season.
The premise for the reality TV series is simple: four existing couples, each at some sort of crossroads in their relationship, head to a tropical island filled with temptation to find out whether they are, in fact, supposed to be together.
The guys and girls are split into two villas and, apart from the odd video clip here and there, the couples don't see each other for the entirety of their time on Temptation Island.
That is until the final ceremony, where they have to decide whether to split up, stay together or – gulp – leave with one of the singles they've been getting to know.
Evan and Kaci
Status: Broken up.
Having been together for the best part of 10 years, these high school sweethearts seemed pretty solid when they first washed up on the island. However, Kaci had been pressuring Evan to pop the big question, even giving him a number of ultimatums, and he wasn't so sure where they might go from there.
During their time on the show, they drifted further and further apart. Of course, they didn't have much choice about the fact that they were living in separate villas. But with each day that went by, Kaci was realising how much she wanted to be with Evan (even admitting that she'd been too hard on him in the past) while he was busy falling in love with one of the new singles, Morgan.
In the emotional final bonfire, Kaci practically begged Evan to leave with her. Unfortunately for her, his mind was made up and the pair broke things off there and then.
In her first post after the series finished airing in the US, Kaci wrote: "To say this adventure did NOT go as expected would be an understatement. With that said, I truly don't think I've ever been more thankful for anything in my life... I thank God everyday that it didn't go as expected and know in my heart that I was meant to be on that island. And that the outcome was exactly what I needed to happen."
Since the show, Kaci also revealed that she was "genuinely happy & thriving".
And we're glad to hear it.
Evan and Morgan
Status: Broken up.
As discovered in the finale of Temptation Island, Evan chose to leave the island with Morgan, bringing his former relationship with Kaci to an abrupt end.
At the end of the episode, he got down on one knee. Yep, Evan and Morgan got engaged!
After the series finished airing in the US, Evan was finally able to post about his partner for the first time.
"Had to hide you for six months, now I get to show you off forever," he wrote on Instagram. "Here's to my stunning, funny and loving fiancé."
Evan and Morgan, who also dropped the L-bomb on the show, went on to launch a YouTube channel together and regularly posted loved-up photos on social media.
So far so great, right?
In January 2020 the pair had a fairly public break up when Morgan tweeted allegations that Morgan had been having "nightly sleepovers" with Instagram models. She also admitted to feeling "played" by him.
Is it ever okay for an ENGAGED man to leave his fiancé across the country to “work” but actually has nightly sleepovers with 21yo Instagram models? Oh, and his phone happens to “die” every night at the same time. I know, I’m a dumb ass and everyone saw it coming, but me #played

Evan's Temptation Island ex Kaci showed public support for Morgan, tweeting: "You're not dumb. You were in love & wanted to believe in him."
After a period of social media silence, Evan tweeted: "I am so sorry, Morgan."
In an Instagram Q&A with fans, Evan also opened up about feeling "pretty awful" and revealed he was struggling with his mental health.
Shari and Javen
Shari and Javen rocked up onto Temptation Island seeming as though their relationship was hanging by a thread. The pair even got into an argument on their last night before the villa separation, and it seemed to take them both a while to settle into the show.
But proving that the experiment can in fact work, their individual journeys only seemed to make them both stronger and more determined to be devoted to one another.
At the finale bonfire, they each chose to leave together and Javen asked Shari to marry him.
The couple went on to launch a podcast together, dishing out relationship advice and talking about pop culture.
Despite rumours in early 2020 that they may have split, both Javen and Shari shared matching Valentine's Day posts this month and appear just as together as ever.
John and Kady
Status: Broken up.
We had a hard time calling how this one was going to pan out but, after some very emotional scenes at the final bonfire, Kady and John each decided to leave the island alone.
In the six-month fast-forward a little later on in the episode, John admitted that he'd tried to make it work with Kady once they returned to the home they shared together. Kady didn't seem so sure on that one though, and admitted that she'd kept in touch with Temptation Island single Johnny (who even arranged a plane ticket for her to visit him in New York).
Each having well and truly gone their separate ways now, both John and Kady seem happier.
John revealed in the final episode that he'd kept in touch with Temptation Island single Katheryn, but that the distance (she lives in Nashville) was stopping it from going very far. After the show finished in the US (and the cast social media ban was lifted), Katheryn showed her support for John in an Instagram post while also clarifying where they were at.
"No, we are not together anymore," she posted alongside a video. "However we remain friends and will always care for and respect each other!"
As for Kady, she tweeted about a new "boyfriend", so it seems that she moved on with a new relationship...
Karl and Nicole
These two seemed to have some trust issues before they arrived on the island, and then they each hooked up with other people during their time on the show.
At the finale bonfire, Karl told Nicole that he wanted to leave with her and work things out. At first, she agreed. But after a little probing from Temptation Island host Mark Walberg, Nicole admitted that she felt their relationship had come to a natural end.
But in 2020 the pair announced that they were back together.
Dedicating an Instagram post to Karl, Nicole wrote: "I didn't know if we could come back from what we went through and if you would have asked me a year ago, I wouldn't have imagined us coming back stronger than ever but here we are..."
Temptation Island season 1 is currently airing in the UK on E4, and a brand new season is airing in the US every Tuesday on USA Network.
