Ten-year-old killed himself after being bullied for colostomy bag, mother says

A 10-year-old boy allegedly took his own life after he was bullied for wearing a colostomy bag at school.

Seven Bridges, from Kentucky, hanged himself at home on Saturday after he was repeatedly targeted over the bag, his mother said.

He was born with a bowel condition and had undergone 26 bouts of surgeries during his life.

Mum Tami Charles told local news station WHAS: “I saw my son dead. That’s something in my head.”

She said the bullying had lasted for six months and had become so bad that she was hoping to have him transferred to another school.

She added: “We would talk to him about having new friends and a new start.

“He just had to get to the end of the year.”

A GoFundMe page for the family has already raised $41,400 dollars.

It said: “Seven Charles Thomas Bridges was a loving charismatic 10 year old boy.

“He was his mother’s child. His mother is Tami Charles aka The Dudley Lady aka The City's Auntie.

“On Saturday January 19th, 2019, 10 year old Seven took his life as a result of school house bullying.

It said the campaign was to assist his family with funeral and memorial expenses, lost wages and to support his family to find justice.
