A TikTok influencer had a terrifying experience while on holiday in Tenerife. Sabrina says someone tried to get into her room at 4am prompting her to consider flying home.

The TikToker screamed until they left but now she has reached out to her audience for support after the shocking incident on her first night on the Spanish island in the Canaries. The web personality, known as sabrinaescapes on TikTok, recounted: "At 4am today whilst I was sleeping, someone smashed the windows of the apartment I'm staying in and then threw the glass bottle at me."

She added: "I didn't know what their plan was so I grabbed something and screamed until they left." Sabrina also shared a glimpse of the aftermath, with a broken glass bottle strewn across the floor, some pieces even landing in her bed, reports the Manchester Evening News.

She said: "And now I'm contemplating, do I book another hotel? A nice one that no-one can get in to?

"Or do I just fly home and call it a day? It's only going to be like 50 Euros to fly back to the UK. I don't know."

Sabrina opened up about her first night being a "bad experience" but remained optimistic for better days ahead. Her candid video sparked a wave of responses from others sharing similar stories.

One holidaymaker recounted: "My daughter had a similar experience in July. She and friends had just arrived." Another chimed in with a warning, saying: "Tenerife is beyond belief at the moment, a place to stay clear of."

A third person added: "My friend has been robbed in a hotel last week Sabrina. He's devastated because they took the safe with all his possessions in."

Despite the initial setback, Sabrina didn't let the unfortunate event spoil her holiday. After reporting the theft to the authorities, she moved to a different hotel.

In a follow-up video, Sabrina updated her followers, saying: "I'm fine... I'm in a nice hotel, nice resort now. It's fantastic, my view is incredible... I feel much safer here.

"This is a beautiful resort with lots of entertainment going on tonight. I'm going to chill and here and probably just explore the rest of Tenerife in the morning."
