The Tennent's Get to Germany race is officially underway, and the first leg came to a thrilling conclusion for the Peterhead duo.

Six Scots, including two from Aberdeen and two from Paisley, are up against each other in pairs to see who will reach Munich for the chance to follow Scotland at Euro 2024.

And up first was the task of reaching Hampden Park in Glasgow by travelling across the city without their own phones and they were not allowed to drive themselves.

Chris Gibson and Ewan Oman set off from Tennent's Wellpark Brewery to start the challenge as did Aberdonian duo Beth and William Wallace, and Paisley's Euan McLelland and Paul Mullenon.

The five-part series, which is available to watch on Tennent's YouTube channel, includes a series of challenges and the chance to win epic prizes along the way to Germany.

Peterhead duo Chris and Ewan are die-hard Scotland fans, and they were desperate to make a strong start, with each checkpoint worth 'T-minus time' which can be used later in the journey.

The winners would get five points, while second place gained two points and the last to arrive would gain nothing, and after each team ran through the streets of Glasgow, they all came up with a genius tactic.

Hitching a ride from generous locals, all three would get a lift to the national stadium, but first to reach the famous pitch were Chris and Ewan, who could celebrate their victory with a well-earned ice cold pint of Tennant's.

Euan and Paul came second, while Beth and William were the last to arrive, with the Peterhead lads storming into the lead.

Each episode of the series goes live here on YouTube every Tuesday and Thursday, with part two of the Get to Germany race due on Tuesday, June 4.
