Hailstones up to 4 inches in diameter battered Minnesota’s Carver, Hennepin, and Wright counties, west of Minneapolis, on the afternoon of Monday, August 5, damaging vehicles and other property, according to people in the area.
The National Weather Service reported that “tennis ball size” hail had fallen in Watertown, Carver County, while hail four inches in diameter was reported in the Wright County town of Delano, about five miles northeast of Watertown.
