Tens of thousands take to the streets for climate march in Brussels, Belgium

A huge climate march was held on Sunday, October 10th in Brussels, Belgium. Tens of thousands of participants called for more action to counter climate change and preserve the planet. Extreme weather and the effects thereof –- forest fires, heatwaves, flooding -– are proof, the protesters say, that the climate is increasingly out of control. Such events are not only becoming more common, they are also more serious when they do occur. The protest comes ahead of the COP26 UN climate summit due to be held in Glasgow in Scotland, UK, in late October.
