Terre Haute Air Show volunteers meeting is Thursday

Mar. 19—The Terre Haute Air Show is seeking volunteers to help bring the 2024 event to life.

A wide variety of positions are available to help with air show, which is June 1 and 2 at Terre Haute Regional Airport. Positions include vendor support, Blue Angels hospitality tent, security, VIP tent, media support and more.

"Air shows do not organize and run themselves, and that is where you play a pivotal role," said Dennis Dunbar, director of the air show.

The first volunteer interest meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Rose-Hulman's Moench Hall, Room B111.

Volunteers are encouraged to attend to receive vital information about their roles, safety procedures and event logistics.

Air show volunteers will be provided lunch, water and a crew T-shirt. Volunteers are not required to have any previous training.

For more information, contact Donna Wilson at volunteer@terrehauteairshow.com.

Deadline to apply is May 15. Visit www.terrehauteairshow.com/volunteers to apply.

Terre Haute's 2024 Air Show again will be highlighted by the tight formations of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels, who also appeared at the 2018 show. In addition, acts currently include a U.S. Air Force A-10 Demo, a P-51 Mustang Gunfighter, Younkin Airshows' Matt Younkin, Franklin's Flying Circus, Team Titan (formerly Aeroshell), Mister Mulligan (AKA Doug Rozendaal), and the Patriot Parachute Team.
