A majestic thunderstorm was caught on film when it illuminated the skies of Marathon, Florida, on August 28.

The video, recorded by Dan Eidsmoe, shows lightning brightening the night sky.

“As tropical storms start to move into the area, we frequently get thunder and lightning associated with heavy rain,” Eidsmoe told Storyful.
