Terrifying moment roof blows off Midlothian flats and crashes into home in Storm Éowyn
The roof flew off a block of flats and crashed into a Midlothian home during Storm Éowyn in terrifying scenes.
The heart-stopping incident took place in Eskbank near College Medway when debris and wood was blown off a roof and collided with a two-storey family home, dealing untold damage and leaving debris outside and tiles missing from the property.
Footage uploaded to TikTok shows the devastation left in the wake of the storm as part of the roof can be seen lying in a heap at the front of the home as dozens of slates crashed to the ground.

In the background of the video the Scottish Fire and Rescue service had just arrived on scene as the camera panned to the block of flats missing materials from its roof.
A separate image was uploaded to Facebook which shows a front on view of the home which was left heavily damaged.
The video has since received more than one million views and 35,000 likes with hundreds of people leaving comments.
One user wrote: "I live across from the damaged house, watched it happen, luckily no one hurt, but the flats the roof came off has had a lot of roof work over the years."
A second wrote: "These videos make me so sad. I hope you get sorted soon it must be so scary." A third added: "So sad to see. I hope everyone is okay."

The storm left untold damage across Scotland as buses in Edinburgh were suspended, schools and shops were shut and trains across the country were cancelled.
The red weather warning saw gusts of up to 80mph strike Edinburgh as images taken on Friday showed a deserted city centre following advice not to travel from the Scottish Government and Police Scotland.
