Terrifying West Lothian M8 crash leaves sports car wrecked on carriageway
A 'kit car' can be seen badly damaged following the aftermath of a crash on the M8 in West Lothian.
Emergency services raced to the incident on Friday September 20 at around 9.15pm.
Police and ambulance paramedics were spotted on the M8 westbound, just south of Uphall Rail Station between Junction two and three.

The crash caused massive tailbacks on both the east and the westbound carriageways.
In an image taken by a passenger on the opposite lane, a 'kit car' is visibly damaged with a police cordon erected in the background.
"We were travelling back the morning from a few days at Loch Lomond in our campervan when we came across the slowing traffic on the M8 as we passed Livingston exit," the passenger said. "Traffic Scotland were warning on an incident between two to three exits off the motorway which had occurred around 9.15am.
"At 9.46am the image of traffic queue on east bound carriageway and for the next few miles the traffic was slowly stop start. At 9.52am we passed the unfortunate incident on the opposite carriageway where we could see emergency vehicles and other vehicles stopped on the main carriageway as well as what appeared to be a kit car type vehicle badly damaged?
"Our thoughts are with anyone injured in the crash.

The front wheels and roof are out of place and officers can be seen inspecting the area.
Shortly after the incident, Traffic Scotland said: "#M8 - J3 Lane two (Of two) is currently blocked on the #M8 Westbound near to J3 following a collision.
"Traffic is very slow on approach. Police are currently en-route.
"Please take care."
All lanes are now clear.

The condition of those involved is not currently known.
Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
