Tesco shoppers can now get bonus Clubcard points worth up to £50, just in time for Christmas shopping. The supermarket is bringing back a popular game which allows members to earn extra points while shopping, Tesco has said.

Members of the loyalty scheme have been invited to take part in its Clubcard Challenges game, which is running between now and December 31. If you agree to sign up, you will receive 10 personalised challenges across the period.

Once customers have completed the challenge, they will be rewarded with extra Clubcard points. You will get a maximum £50 in extra Clubcard points. However, shoppers can bump the value up to £100 if they decide to spend the vouchers with one of Tesco's 100 reward partners, which include the RAC, Disney+, the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Pizza Express.

When you join Clubcard, you’ll have the option to become a Clubcard Christmas Saver. If you’re already a Clubcard member, you can opt in online or from the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app, the supermarket giant has said.

If you’re on Tesco.com, then sign in to your Clubcard account, go to ‘Voucher schemes’, select ‘Clubcard Christmas Savers’ and confirm with ‘Choose scheme’ and if you’re using the Tesco app then from the account menu, select ‘Clubcard management’, then select ‘Voucher schemes’ and then select ‘Clubcard Christmas Savers’ and confirm with ‘Choose scheme’.

Tesco explained: "We'll look after all the Clubcard vouchers you get when you shop and collect Clubcard points with us during the year, up to 16 October 2025 when the 2025 scheme closes. You'll then get all your vouchers in your November Clubcard statement, just in time to spend on your big Christmas shop.

"Plus, from the 26 December 2024, you can also top up your savings throughout the year with your own money, to a maximum of £360. Top up online via the Tesco app or Clubcard website. When you've topped up at least £200, you’ll get a £12 bonus on us, to help you save even more for the festive season.

"To keep track of your savings through the year, we'll continue to send you Clubcard statements or you can visit your account online." It adds: "From 26 December 2024, top up your Christmas savings online via the Tesco app or Clubcard website and get a bonus of up to £12 on us.

"When you top up, your money is held in a trust until we send you your vouchers in your November Clubcard statement. So, you can be sure your money is safe."
