Tesco can save money on groceries by making simple swaps
It may seem like your grocery bill is just constantly going up, but even with various club cards and loyalty schemes, it can feel like there's still no way to lower the amount you're spending during your weekly shop.
Luckily, money-saving pro Kat Saves on Instagram has shared some tips for lowering the amount your spending during a trip to the big Tesco.
Kat suggests substituting a number of items from the fridge section for cheaper options from the freezer. The first item she points to are cheesecakes.
"These cheesecakes in the fridge section are £4.30, but if you head to the freezer section you can get some really nice cheesecake for only £2.75.

"Or you could go for the Miss Molly which is only 80p per cheesecake. That's an absolute bargain."
Kat's next tip is to skip buying the refrigerated pizza, which can cost over £3, and to, once again, head to the freezer section where you can find similar pizzas for a fraction of the cost at just £1.65.
Another substitution that can reduce your grocery costs is to avoid looking for any seasonings you need in the seasoning section.
"If you need to by anymore seasonings you need stop looking in the seasoning section. Look at this garlic powder 22.2p per ten grams. If you head over to the world food aisle you can find the same product, 13p per ten grams. That is a massive saving."
And a fourth substitution can be found when looking for cotton wool pads, Kat points out that in the health a beauty section a pack of 50 will cost you £1.85, but if you go to the baby section a pack of 50 will cost just £1.15.
Kat's final saving tip is to buy larger bottles of drinks as these over cost less per ml. She explained: "The 500ml bottles of coke in the fridge are £1.90.
"I think this is such a rip-off, because you can get a 1.25L bottle for only £2"
