Tesco shopper shows how simple swaps on pizza, desserts and spices will cut your food bill
Feeling the pinch at the checkout? You're not alone, but there's good news from money-saving expert Kat Saves, who has taken to Instagram with some savvy shopping tips to cut costs at Tesco.
One simple tip Kat recommends is swapping out pricier fridge items for their frozen counterparts. She highlights a smart swap with cheesecakes, noting: "These cheesecakes in the fridge section are £4.30, but if you head to the freezer section you can get some really nice cheesecake for only £2.75."
She also points out an even more wallet-friendly option: "Or you could go for the Miss Molly which is only 80p per cheesecake. That's an absolute bargain."

When it comes to pizza, Kat advises against picking up the refrigerated varieties that often cost upwards of £3. Instead, she suggests making a beeline for the freezer aisle where similar pizzas are available at a steal for just £1.65, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Kat's third tip involves a clever hack for when you need to top up your seasoning collection. She says, "If you need to by any more seasonings you need stop looking in the seasoning section. Look at this garlic powder: 22.2p per ten grams. If you head over to the world food aisle you can find the same product for 13p per ten grams. That is a massive saving."
And a fourth substitution can be found when shopping for cotton wool pads - in the health and beauty section, a pack of 50 costs £1.85, but in the baby section, the same number of pads costs £1.15. Her final tip is to opt for larger bottles of drinks, as they often cost less per millilitre. She says: "The 500ml bottles of coke in the fridge are £1.90. I think this is such a rip-off, because you can get a 1.25L bottle for only £2".
