Getting in the festive spirit, Tess Daly wowed Strictly Come Dancing fans last night in a sparkly silver minidress.

The presenter, 52, looked incredible in the shimmery frock for the BBC show's quarter finals, which featured a high neck, long sleeves and cut-out detailing.

It is from fashion brand Dundas, who revealed that the £645 ensemble is adorned with hundreds of sequins designed to resemble swirling leopard and zebra print.

Sharing a picture of her outfit on Instagram, the star – who finished off her look with a pair of The Hoop Station silver earrings and £222 silver strappy heels from Jimmy Choo – could be seen posing backstage.

Social media users shared their appreciation for Daly's look, leaving more than 13,000 'likes' on the post.

Her husband, Vernon Kay, commented: "Heeeeeeelllllooooooooo."

Lisa Snowden wrote: "Stunning!"

Meanwhile, others praised her outfit - which is perfect for party season - as looking "gorgeous" and "beautiful".

Last week, Daly wowed on the dance show in a similarly Christmas-appropriate look – a £250 fitted red midi-dress by label Hasan Hejazi, along with a pair of strappy red heels from brand Gina.

So far this series, the mother-of-two has dazzled in a number of head-turning looks, including a black feather-trim dress for the Halloween special.

Meanwhile, her co-host Claudia Winkleman also opted for sparkles to front yesterday evening's episode.

The presenter, 49, slipped on a bespoke red sleeveless, sequinned midi-dress by label Self Portrait, along with a pair of red Gina heels.

Sharing the stunning frock on Instagram, the mother-of-three – referring to the brand's founder Han Chong – joked: "A man named Han made me this dress so I proposed to him."

Last week, the star impressed Strictly viewers in an iridescent white sparkly blazer, costing £250 from brand Nadine Merabi.

She paired the jacket with a black scoop neck top from Mint Velvet, which appeared to be a design costing £22, as well as a pair of white heels.

Fellow presenter Lauren Laverne commented on her Instagram post with a string of heart and flame emojis, while another social media user wrote "need that jacket".
