Texas Game Wardens recover stolen vehicle from Bowie County river

BOWIE COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – Bowie County Game Wardens reportedly discovered a stolen vehicle from Arkansas submerged in a river last week.

Bowie County Game Wardens initially responded to a call of a vehicle submerged in the Sulfur River. The game wardens said that the Bowie County Dive Team, Bowie County Game Wardens and Bowie County Sheriff’s Office coordinated a recovery of the vehicle.

Once recovered, officials said that they were able to determine the vehicle had been reported as stolen in Hempstead County, Arkansas. The game wardens said that the vehicle was likely disposed of down the boat ramp while the water levels were low.
