Texas Senator Ted Cruz Surveys Imelda Flood Damage

US Senator Ted Cruz surveyed flood damage sustained by areas in southeast Texas from the air on September 21, in the wake of Tropical Storm Imelda.

At least five people were left dead as the storm swept the area. Imelda was described as the seventh wettest tropical storm in US history, and left large areas underwater, as seen in this video.

Cruz was investigating the impact of the storm on September 21, including visiting the Beaumont Emergency Operations Center, according to local reports. Credit: Ted Cruz via Storyful
