TfL Boxing Day travel advice and full list of Tube, train and bus services running
Boxing Day travel in London is set for a shake-up, with Transport for London (TfL) services undergoing significant changes. Key Overground disruptions include no service from Euston to Watford Junction, Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside, Liverpool Street to Enfield Town, Cheshunt and Chingford, Romford to Upminster, Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction, Sydenham to West Croydon, and Willesden Junction to Richmond.
Meanwhile, there are no Elizabeth Line trains running on Boxing Day, so buses might be your best bet.
Tube travel, along with DLR trains and trams, will resume on Boxing Day, but travellers should brace for potential disruptions. For early risers or those working the holiday shift, Tube services are expected to commence at around 5.30am.

TfL recommends checking its journey planner, or the TfL Go app. Officials advise on TfL's website: "Between Friday, December 20 2024 and Sunday, January 5 2025, planned work, closures and service changes may affect your journey."
They also caution that "During the Christmas and New Year period, there are like to be changes to timetables on TfL services. Details will be available nearer the time."
In terms of driving charges, the Congestion Charge will be suspended from Christmas Day to New Year's Day (inclusive). The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will also be inactive on Christmas Day, but will resume operation on Boxing Day and all other days.
However, the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) will operate every day of the year. In addition to TfL services, there will be no National Rail trains running on Boxing Day, with the exception of a few airport transfer services.
Trains to and from Liverpool Street, the Paddington area, and London St. Pancras will experience disruptions throughout the festive period.
