Thai villager rescues hapless puppy after it fell into 15ft deep canal

A stranded puppy was rescued after it fell into a 15ft deep canal in Thailand. The hapless pooch was wandering the streets of the Ban Hae community in Loei province when it plunged into the Namman canal on September 22. Fortunately, the water was shallow enough that it could paddle across the stream without drowning. Footage shows a concerned villager climbing down a ladder and wading through the canal to rescue the trapped animal. The rescue operation took 10 minutes and the puppy was safely carried out of the water.
