Between harvest wreaths and centerpieces, Thanksgiving decor is all about embracing cozy details. But if you also want to show off festive beauty looks this holiday, why not give your nails a holiday twist.

If you’re looking for a classic Thanksgiving design, New York salon Vanity Projects has you covered with art inspired by A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Each Peanuts character is painted to appear like a hand-drawn sketch and features iconic scenes from the film, including Lucy playing football and chef Snoopy.

Vanity Projects has also noticed that subtler designs have become popular this season too.

“For the holidays we are seeing a lot of simple but bold looks,” says salon founder Rita Pinto. “Obviously red and Fall colors are a big hit. Floral is consistently a great Thanksgiving look and we are noticing great geometric ideas paired with Fall-inspired glitters.”

Akiko Nails loves glittery abstract shapes too. The salon’s "Chromefetti" nail design is their go-to holiday party look:

But if metallics aren't your thing, New York manicure studio Paintbox recommend trying a "negative space" mani using warm color combinations. Their most popular mani also includes retro-inspired dots.

The trick is to think outside the box color-wise. "Unexpected tones make a cutting-edge statement," says Associate Creative Director Mabelyn Martin.

If you want to cut back on chemicals, nail salon Tenoverten is known for their vegan and non-toxic polish - try the seasonally appropriate Fall Waves design. The nail salon, located in New York, Los Angeles, and Austin, is also serving up "Freehand Floral" manicures to compete with your table arrangements.
