David Raya has left pundits and football fans gobsmacked after a stunning double save in the Champions League.

The Arsenal No1 was on hand to deny Atalanta's Mateo Retegui from the penalty spot as he dived low to his right side before showing incredible speed and agility to get back up and claw the rebound away. The second save was branded 'incredible' and 'the best save he's ever seen' by Savage on co-commentary alongside Ferdinand who branded it beautiful.

Savage: "I've got to say that's one of the best saves I have ever seen. The second one. That is unbelievable. How he gets up, that is incredible. That's one of the best I have ever seen."

Ferdinand added: "You see goalkeepers every day in training do that. They make a save, get up and have to react to the second one. That is where it comes into practice. Beautiful save and great agility."

Arsenal legend Martin Keown also chipped in with praise for Raya, he said: “David Raya did well to stay patient and wait for Mateo Retegui, who took forever to take the kick, waiting for the goalkeeper to go down. It was like a game of who blinks first? A superb initial save then gets on his feet to make the second one. If Arsenal get anything out of this game and that will be seen as a big turning point.”

Punters online agreed with the duo with one posting: "One of the best double saves you'll ever see." Another wrote: "That's a joke of a save." A further added: "Raya has been insane this season."
