The 1% Club viewers have one response after 'unbelievable' result
Fans were surprised to see so many contestants felled by a straightforward question
What did you miss?
The 1% Club viewers were left "stunned" as 15 people went out over an "obvious" question.
The ITV quiz show asks questions that require logic and common sense to answer, starting with one that most people would answer correctly and working all the way through to a question that only 1% of people would get right.
The episode on Wednesday, 11 December got off to what viewers thought was a straightforward start, with a picture of a thermometer registering a high temperature and a dog on screen as host Lee Mack asked which food the images represented.
But fans were left scratching their heads when 15 missed that the answer was "Hot dog", with one posting on X: "I'm sorry. HOW MANY DIDN'T GET THAT??!?"
What, how and why?
The hot dog question was the first Mack asked, and he looked as surprised as everyone else when it was confirmed that 15 of the 100 contestants in the studio had failed to get it right.

"Not being rude but you have got to be kidding me!" he said. "Fifteen?"
The comedian — who joked that there had been a discussion about including the question over it being too easy — asked a couple of contestants how they had got it wrong, with one confessing she thought the thermometer and dog represented "dog food".
Fans were puzzled, with one asking on X: "15 people out on this? Where are they getting the contestants from??" "How are 15 people out ….??? That was obvious," said another.
Someone else called it "unbelievable" and another viewer posted on the platform: "How have 15 gone! Haha crazy! Lol." "I’m shocked," admitted somebody else.

"How did 15 people manage to get that question wrong?!?" said another.
One sniped: "I wonder how these people even managed to find their way to the studio."
"15 out? Wtf?!" exclaimed one perplexed viewer.
While a comment on the show's official X account said: "15 PEOPLE?! I'm stunned."
Others returned to it as the show went on, with one saying: "I'm still curious about what other answers were given to the Hot Dog question."

Viewers claim show is 'too easy'
The rest of the episode saw the hopefuls having to do things like count the number of times the word "lorry" was written on screen and say which country — out of Brazil, Switzerland and New Zealand — had both the words "lizard" and "newts" in their name.
And plenty of fans thought the questions were just too simple.
"Is it me or are the questions easy tonight?" asked one fan. "I can't be the only one who thinks this show should be made for children as the answers are always too easy!" another viewer remarked.
Another claimed: "All the questions are a similar type. This makes them all fairly easy."
"Lots of very easy counting questions tonight…" said another fan.
The 1% Club continues at 9pm on Thursday, 12 December on ITV and ITVX.
