The Apprentice’s Karren Brady Turned Down Strictly Come Dancing: ‘I’m Not A Wannabe’

If Karren Brady isn’t at least one of your #WomanCrush ‘s then you’re probably doing it wrong.

The successful businesswoman has wowed us all with her no-nonsense attitude and business-savvy persona on The Apprentice, but Karren has now insisted that despite being hugely popular with viewers, she has no plans on becoming a “television personality”.

In fact, Karren is so adamant that she doesn’t want to lost any credibility in business that she has turned down prestigious offers from celeb reality shows - including Strictly Come Dancing.

The 46-year-old explained: “Although I do ‘The Apprentice’, I have no interest in being a TV personality.

“I’ve been offered my own TV show and been asked to do 'Strictly Come Dancing’, cooking shows, even ice-skating.

“But c'mon, what serious business person does that? I’m not a TV wannabe. I won’t be flogging you a keep-fit DVD this Christmas.”

Which, we have to admit, we are ever so slightly gutted about.

Speaking about working with the notorious Lord Alan Sugar, Karren added to The Sunday Times magazine: “Working with Alan Sugar is different. Like a lot of people I work with, he made his own success through grit and determination.

“I love the fact that he had a tough upbringing, but didn’t sit there thinking the world owed him a favour.”
