The Chase star Anne Hegerty has revealed Bradley Walsh's most annoying habits on the set of the quiz show.

Hegerty, who competes as alter ego The Governess on the ITV show, said that host Walsh drove the other cast and crew mad by talking too much.

She told The Daily Star: "He sometimes has the tendency to chat on and on and on with contestants and we're sitting down at the bottom with The Chase's producer, who doubles as the show's editor, and he's like 'for goodness sake, Brad! This is all coming out' and makes snip gestures."

Her co-star Jenny Ryan, who plays as The Vixen, added that Walsh "acts dim to wind us up" and talks too fast after drinking too much coffee.

Ryan also revealed that Walsh was not welcome in the Chasers WhatsApp group chat.

She said: "We have the Chasers group chat, which no Bradley isn't in, we'd drive him up the wall and he'd drive us up the wall."

Hegerty's Governess is well known for her scarily strict persona, but the TV star who took part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! admitted that she and The Governess were slowly turning into each other.

She said: "My Chase persona was originally based on my grandmother and one of my aunts, but gradually we are morphing into one - and it's terrifying. I hope I'm not quite as snooty in real life."

Meanwhile, Mark Labbett – known as The Beast on the quiz – has recently told how he would love to follow co-star Hegerty into the jungle, but is getting fed up with being told his weight is an issue.

The quizzer, who has slimmed down in recent months, claimed he had been approached four times to be a campmate but was then told that he was too big to take part.
