ITV has commissioned ‘The Family Chase’, a spin-off version of the show that will air in a primetime slot on Saturday evenings.

This six-episode series will follow the exact same format as the regular show, but rather than the team being comprised of four strangers, it will feature four family members instead.

All four contestants will answer a series of general knowledge questions while trying to stay one step ahead of the quizmaster in a bid to make it to the final chase, where they will then play collectively as a team.

Bradley will return to front the new series, alongside the chasers – The Beast (Mark Labbett), The Sinnerman (Paul Sinha), The Dark Destroyer (Shaun Wallace), The Governess (Anne Hergerty), and The Vixen (Jenny Ryan).

Speaking about the new series, producer Michael Kelpie said that bringing family members together would bring a new “dynamic” to the show, which is now made in more than 10 countries.

He explained to Broadcast Now: “They know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

“They’ve discussed a strategy beforehand but of course, that can all mean nothing when they go face-to-face against one of the UK’s finest quiz brains.”

He added: “With even more fun and banter between Bradley, the chasers and the families, it still delivers all the core values that have made The Chase a firm favourite with viewers.”

In the meantime, the original series will continue to air each weekday afternoon in its usual 5pm slot on ITV – so grab yourself a cuppa and join in!
