While Duchess Kate always dresses impeccably, we do sometimes wish she’d be a little braver with what she wears.

All too often she opts for block colour ensembles that make her look very chic and composed, but not all that creative. Which is why the 33-year-old’s latest look is EVERYTHING.

The Duchess discarded the grey pleated Orla Kiely number that she wore to a north London event during the day and donned a stunning floral dress for a evening engagement last night – hitting a high-fashion note in the process.

Turning to one of her favourite London-based designers, Erdem, Kate looked bold and beautiful in the floor-length number that featured a tiered panel.

The £2,660 silk dress was the perfect choice for the event, The 100 Women in Hedge Funds gala dinner that was attended by some of the country’s most respected women. The patterned number definitely ensured Kate stood out from the sea of inspirational women.

Kate kept her hair loose and voluminous for the occasion, and accessorised the Ohana dress with the late Queen Mother’s diamond and sapphire earrings, a diamond bracelet and a £450 satin clutch from British designer Anya Hindmarch.

On her feet, the Duchess wore towering black stilettos that were barely visible under the gown’s full skirt.
