The Ellen Show: Nicki Minaj Confirms That She ISN’T Engaged To Meek Mill

Nicki Minaj recently sat down with Ellen Degeneres to talk about the GIANT ring that she’s been rocking – and to confirm that, despite what it looks like, it doesn’t mean that she is engaged to Meek Mill.

Talk show host Ellen noticed that Minaj wasn’t wearing her diamond ring on the show, to which the rapper clarified that it wasn’t an engagement ring to begin with, but rather a gift from a ‘boy who likes her.’

“I have two rings from this boy that likes me,” she explained coyly. “He said that that’s my second ring, and if I get a third ring, that would be the engagement ring.”

Even though she didn’t reference her boyfriend Meek Mill by name, the pair have reportedly been dating for more than year, but the 33-year-old even admitted that she doesn’t like to say that she’s in a relationship anymore.

She explained: “We’re still figuring each other out. I don’t even want to say I’m in a relationship anymore, because I think when people hear that, they go to the mean place.”

As an example: When the star didn’t post a photo of her Valentine’s Day present from Meek, fans immediately speculated that their relationship was over.

Nicki put those rumours to bed, along with Meek Mill, as she revealed: “Meanwhile, we were really in bed all day on Valentine’s Day. It just made me realise, no matter how great your life is, you can’t even impress people. You just have to do you and make yourself happy.

“And forget trying to get everyone’s approval. It’s better to just keep those things sacred. So now, I don’t really care to say I’m in a relationship. There’s a boy that likes me, that’s all.

“He and I are just two souls right now passing through the universe and I don’t know what’s going to happen and I have learned over the years to just let things be and come and go.”

So there we have it - Nicki Minaj is just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to ‘like’ her.
