The Family Of Christina Grimmies' Killer Pay Poignant Tribute To The Singer

Yesterday the identity of the gunman who murdered singer Christina Grimmie was revealed, with authorities speculating that Kevin James Lobil was a “deranged fan” who initially had no intention of killing himself after shooting the 22 year old.

Now Kevin’s devastated parents have paid poignant tribute to The Voice contestant, offering her family their sympathy.

According to reports, the Loibls have posted a sign on the door of their home with the message: “Deepest sorrow for loss to the Family, Friends and Fans of the very talented loving Christina Grimmie. No other comments.”

Journalist Tamara Lush shared a photo of the sign on Twitter alongside the caption: “Note on the home of Kevin Loibl’s family in St. Pete. He’s the accused killer of Christina Grimmie.”

Christina was tragically murdered after opening for the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando, she was holding a meet and greet for her fans when Loibl approached her and shot her dead.

During a police conference, Police Chief John Mina said: “There’s no indication that he knew her, we’re looking into that to try and find a motive for the crime.

"He came here to commit this crime and had plans to travel back to where he came from.”

Christina’s brother Mark tackled Loibl after he opened fire, leading the gunman to shoot himself.

Mark paid tribute to his “goofy” sister on Facebook, thanking fans and supporters for their well-wishes.
