We’ve been waiting since 2007 for more Gilmore Girls episodes, after all.

Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life will consist of four 90-minute episodes, titled ‘Winter’, ‘Spring’, ‘Summer’, and ‘Fall’, with original cast members Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel returning, along with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.

If finally getting a release date wasn’t exciting enough, a short trailer for the new episodes has also been unveiled, showing Rory and Lorelai chatting about Amy Schumer over coffee.

Just like old times.

When Lorelai asks Rory if she reckons Amy would like her, Rory replies ‘no’.

Asked why, she explains: “Water sports. Every time I see her in a magazine, she’s on vacation doing water sports,” to which Lorelai says: “Oh no, that would not work at all.”

Luckily for Lorelai, Amy has since taken to Twitter to say that she would actually ‘love her’. PHEW.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to watch every single episode of Gilmore Girls ever while we count down the days until November.
