Over 37,000 fundraisers, amateur runners and elite athletes descended onto London to complete the London Marathon this weekend, the biggest in its 35-year history.

The 2015 Marathon attracted the usual array of eccentric costumes from a running Mona Lisa to one man who did the entire marathon as a giant testicle:

Guinness Book of World Records reported that over 30 world records were set this year.

This included the fastest marathon ran dressed as a superhero, by Paul Martelletti who wore a Spiderman costume and completed the race in 2:30:12.

The fastest marathon run in a nurse’s costume was by Neil Casey with 2:46:48.

One couple even decided to get married halfway through, stopping off in St Katharine Docks by the Tower of London to say their vows, before continuing with the race.
