The Jump 2016: Tom Parker And Gemma Merna Are On Standby

12 celebrities are busy cramming in all the training they can in the Austrian Alps ahead of the third series of The Jump.

With a history of celebrities injuring themselves on the slopes, Channel 4 have now confirmed that they’ve drafted in Tom Parker and Gemma Merna as standbys, just in case.

It’s better to be safe than sorry.

A Channel 4 spokesman confirmed to Digital Spy that The Wanted singer and the former Hollyoaks actress are ready to step in if needed.

TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent has also shared a photo of the updated #JumpSquad on Instagram, captioning it: “I’m sorry guys but I’m gonna have to say… #SquadGoals haha! Only a few days in & it’s the toughest thing I’ve ever done #TheJump.”

Olympic gymnastics bronze medallist Beth Tweddle, former EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton, and Olympic gold medal winning runner Linford Christie OBE are all also signed up.

TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent, socialite Tamara Beckwith and Superman actor Dean Cain complete the line-up.

Davina McCall will return to host the show, which will air weekly instead of nightly this year. Celebrities will also live together in an Austrian Mountain Schloss for the first time.

We can’t wait to see what happens.
