The Jump: Brian McFadden Misses Out On A Place In The Final

We’ve almost reached the end of an injury-filled series of The Jump - and what a show it’s been, eh?

Sadly for Brian McFadden though, next week’s final is all but a pipedream, with the singer falling at the final hurdle during Sunday’s ski cross (February 29).

His elimination came after he decided to take on the air jump, rather than the main jump like the other remaining competitors.

In the end, his record 9.7m jump wasn’t enough to save him, and he bowed out of the contest, leaving Ben Cohen, Tamara Beckwith, Sid Owen, Tom Parker and Dean Cain to battle it out in the final.

Joking with Davina McCall after it was announced that he was going home, Brian said: “I’m leaving alive!”

The Jump recently claimed two more victims, with Sarah Harding being forced to leave after pulling a ligament in her knee.

Heather Mills has also had to leave the show after rupturing her thumb socket and obtaining minor ligament injuries during a crash in training.

Rebecca Adlington, Tina Hobley, Beth Tweddle, Mark-Francis Vandelli and Linford Christie have all previously pulled out of the competition due to injury.

The Jump Final is on Channel 4 on Sunday at 7.30pm.
