The Jump: Mark-Francis Vandelli Becomes The Next Celebrity Casaulty To Leave

The Made In Chelsea star was injured during Sunday night’s Snow Cross mayhem, falling down on the course and consequently, having his pre-recorded Air Jump shown in the jump-off rather than performing the jump live.

He was taken to hospital to be treated after the incident, and it’s now been revealed that he won’t be returning to the competition.

A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: “Whilst racing during the show on Sunday evening, Mark-Francis fell, injuring his ankle. He received immediate medical attention but sadly will not be able to continue in the competition due to an ankle fracture which has now been treated.”

Brian McFadden sparked speculation that Mark-Francis has undergone an operation in a now-deleted photo, with The Mirror reporting that he captioned the photo of the star on a hospital bed: “Even post surgery MarkVandelli looks like a Versace model!!!”

Mark-Francis, though, did not reference his injury when he posted a photo from Austria on Instagram on Monday.

Channel 4 have already ordered an urgent safety review into safety procedures on the show, with some viewers calling for the entire show to be axed.

Sid Owen, Linford Christie, Tom Parker, Louisa Lytton and James Argent have all sustained injuries during this series, with Rebecca Adlington being forced to quit after dislocating her shoulder.

Tina Hobley also had to leave the show after dislocating her elbow and suffering two fractures to her arm.

In the scariest incident, Beth Tweddle has had to undergo surgery to fuse fractured vertebrae in her neck after a crash in training.

She is currently recovering in hospital, and has described the past few days as ‘very scary’.

Her parents explained: “The early medical indications were positive as Beth was able to move her hands and feet, despite being in a lot of discomfort. It was a scary time for all of us and we’re just very grateful that the operation was a success.”

We’re wishing Beth and all the other injured celebrities very speedy recoveries.
