The launch of Disney+ in the UK means fans will be able to revisit hundreds of old classics from film and TV but there is also original programming on offer - particularly in the form of Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

The show has been long-anticipated since its debut in the US last year, not least because it’s already spawned thousands of memes thanks to the delightful breakout character, Baby Yoda.

Now, Baby Yoda is never named as such in the series as it’s a name bestowed by fans as he actually goes by ‘The Child’ in the Mandalorian universe.

He isn’t a junior version of Yoda either, just a younger version of the same race. Nevertheless, he’s captured the heart and imaginations of many fans and is undoubtedly one of the key aspects of the show’s success.
