The Masked Singer clues are too 'obscure' and 'spoil' the show
Tattoo was unmasked on Saturday, 18 January, but none of the panelists identified her correctly.
What did you miss?
The Masked Singer's clue system is more of a hindrance than a help, according to many fans of the ITV programme.
Now in its sixth series on ITV1, the elaborate format sees a bunch of celebrities singing beneath wild and wonderful character costumes before a panel of Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan, who must try to guess their identities via a mixture of voice recognition and clues.
Clues traditionally appear throughout the VT's played ahead of each performance, as well as post-song interviews with the costumed star, but they seem to be obscuring natural thought paths and resulting in confusion.
What, how and why?
During the newest episode on Saturday, 18 January, in which the likes of Kingfisher, Dressed Crab, Snail and Tattoo took to the stage, people posting on social media site X were struck by the lack of cohesion between the supplied clues.
"The clues are so bad," wrote one fan. "Literally have someone eating a bowl of Coco Pops and the reveal will be like 'they were eating cereal because their dad was a serial killer.'"
Someone else went on to suggest: "The clues are stupid, and spoil the programme."

Honestly the clues on #TheMaskedSinger are so obscure they might as well read out some old ones from 3-2-1.

Which Masked Singer was eliminated this time?
Following a sing-off with Dressed Crab, it was Tattoo's turn to bow out of the competition this week.
She sang Tina Turner's beloved tune Proud Mary and went on to reveal herself as T'Pau popstar Carol Decker to the nation.
"The energy, the last performance, you commanded the whole stage!" commented Jama, who also hosts Love Island.
Asked by Ross if she had any favourites from the panel's incorrect guesses, Decker namechecked Kylie Minogue — joking "I should be so lucky!"
On her Masked Singer experience, she went on to share: "I've loved it and I'm gonna say I'm gutted. It's the best fun ever."
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays on ITV1 and ITVX.
