The Prodigy star Keith Flint's bed and nose ring fetch thousands at auction

Keith Flint’s possessions – including his bed and distinctive nose ring – have made a staggering £347,750 at auction.

The items went under the hammer this week, following the Prodigy star’s death in March.

A total of 171 lots were auctioned, including everything from clothes and jewellery to artwork, number plates, awards and special presentation discs the band had received for their records over the years.

The star’s three ‘Moonman’ MTV Awards were the most expensive lot, fetching a whopping £16,000.

Flint’s custom built oak and steel bed, supported at each corner by entwined thorns and accessed via steps supported on the back of a crouching winged mythical beast, was also a big draw, selling for £8,500.

A pair of red glass chandeliers, each encrusted with glass beads and pendant drops, fetched £1,500 and a grey leather sofa went for £1,700.

A taxidermy hare mount went for £3,200, while two presentation discs recognising sales of the Invaders Must Die album fetched £6,000.

A collection of body jewellery – including a distinctive double cone septum nose piercing – went for £2,200 in the sale held by Cheffins auction house.

Flint was found dead at his home in Essex on March 4 this year, at the age of 49.

His inquest recorded an open conclusion.

It has been reported that Flint’s belongings were sold to help settle his estate's debts.

The Prodigy was founded by Flint and Liam Howlett in 1990. The electronic music group were known as “the godfathers of rave” and enjoyed international hits such as Firestarter, Breathe and Voodoo People.

They have sold an estimated 30 million albums worldwide.
