The Queen leaves gifts at the foot of Prince George's bed

He’s currently third in line to the throne and while we’re sure the Queen loves all her great-grandchildren equally, it seems she has a soft spot for Prince George.

According to The Sun, the 93-year-old monarch 'goes out of her way to spend time with him’ and makes sure she leaves little gifts for the six-year-old when he stays over at Buckingham Palace.

And it seems Prince George is just as fond of his great-grandmother as she is of him, with the adorable future king calling the Queen ‘Gan Gan'.

As Prince George turns six today, an insider told The Sun Prince George is growing up and loves to spend ‘time with his mum, cooking pizzas from scratch and pottering about in the garden’.

Kensington Palace released new photos of the prince to mark his sixth birthday and from the England jersey he’s wearing in the photos, it’s clear Prince George is also a huge football fan.

Just like all the other royal photos released by the Cambridges, they were all taken by Kate Middleton.

Another photo, which is believed to have been taken during the family’s holiday in Mustique, shows the six-year-old looking more dressed up in a green polo shirt and a pair of blue and white striped shorts.

The third to line in the throne, who attends Thomas’s Battersea in London, is believed to be now enjoying the school holidays, with sister Charlotte, four, and one-year-old brother Louis.
