The Traitors star tipped as surprise finalist despite barely any airtime
Former Traitors contestants Jaz Singh and Paul Gorton predict Alex Oleksy is "guaranteed" to make the final of series 3.
The Traitors contestant Alex has had not much airtime but former stars of the BBC show predict he will be a "guaranteed" finalist.
Former The Traitors stars Jaz Singh and Paul Gorton both made big impressions when starring in the second series of the show. Interestingly, both stars have pinpointed Alex as a potential finalist in the biggest murder mystery game on TV — despite having no airtime.
Series two finalist Singh likened Alex's experience to his own, saying he too didn't have much airtime in the first half of the BBC show. Singh was dubbed 'Jazatha Christie', a play on Agatha Christie, for his ability to work out who the Traitors were in series two when no-one else was onto them.
Asked who is the dark horse of The Traitors, he told SlotsCalendar: "We’ve not seen much of Alex so far, so in my opinion he’s pretty much guaranteed to be in the final. If you watch Series 2 again, you hardly see me at all from episode one to five, which is when I really come into it. It’s the same with Alex, so I think he’s got the potential to either win the series or be a finalist.

'The Traitors roundtables go on for hours and are really intense'
"The producers tend to show the contestants who get voted off early in the first few episodes of the show, then they give airtime to people who want to make a bit of an impact. There’s no doubt Alex has either won this show or got to the final in my opinion."
Gorton — who was a Traitor in the second series — praised Alex for "staying hidden" and pointed out this had worked for stars who made the final in series two including Harry, Mollie, Jaz and Evie.
He wrote on X: "Right I’ve praised Linda a lot. Minah is obviously doing great too and looks like she’s properly studied the game. On the Faithful side Leanne is playing an absolute BLINDER. She’s got final potential. Really like Alex too, seems smart and staying hidden. #TheTraitorsUK."
The former Traitor added: "Works in the first 3/4 of the show, remember ALL the finalists blended in… Harry, Mollie, Jaz and Evie — Andrew not so much."
Although Gorton admitted it was the "perfect" strategy for the game, he did point out it could backfire if the Traitors indeed did a "random kill to stir things up".
Who is Alex?
Alex is playing the game as a Faithful. He is 30 years old and a registered care manager from Whitby.
The registered care manager would like to use the prize winnings to start a family with his wife. "Me and my wife aren't able to have biological children and it's obviously very expensive to start IVF so that would be the first thing on the list," he said.
"I'm desperate to be a dad, I'm just a big kid and just always wanted to be a dad. So that will be first on the list. And then just boring stuff, pay off debt, take my family on a holiday, all that sort of stuff. You know, give them a bit of a treat."
His mother-in-law persuaded him to apply for The Traitors, telling him: "I think you would be really good at this. He said: "I mulled it over, watched the second season and had seen that you could apply for the next. And I thought, you know what, I think I'm going to do that."
