The Voice UK: ITV Offer Will.i.am £2.5M To Stay On The Show

With The Voice UK set to move to ITV next year, thoughts have turned to who will be sitting on those four spinning chairs.

With Ricky Wilson already bowing out, and Rita Ora rumoured to be returning, reports are now claiming current mentor Will.i.am has been offered £2.5m to stay on the show.

That’s more than double his currently salary from the show, apparently, and, according to the Daily Star, makes him the only judge on The Voice at the moment to already be offered a job there in 2017.

A source told them: “ITV have decided they want will.i.am and are willing to pay big money to get him.

“They see him as the glue that holds the show together. He’s already enjoyed five successful years on the BBC and is a firm favourite with fans.

“The plan is to relaunch and revamp the show for ITV but still keep key things The Voice fans have fallen in love with.

“He’s been told ITV bosses are willing to double if not triple his current salary to keep him. They are doing everything they possibly can.”

However, Will has previously spoken of his loyalty to production company Wall-To-Wall and their executive producer Moira Ross, which is making him reluctant to move.

He told The Mirror: “I love Moira and it’s going to be hard if she’s not there.

“My gut is telling me to see out this season first. I don’t want to make my decision until then. No matter what network it is on I do like the poetry of The Voice.

“While everyone else is going, ‘I’m going to judge the f*** out of you, The Voice is the opposite of that.”
