Announcing their big news, Tom, who recently competed on The Jump and made it all the way to the final, admitted that his proposal took an impressive three months to plan, and that he could hardly get his words out because he was so ‘overcome with emotion’.

Revealing that he feels like ‘the happiest man in the world’, Tom told Hello! magazine: “There was a trail of rose petals leading to the TV, where I’d set up a montage of all our pictures from the day we met until now, with a song playing in the background that our friend wrote especially for us. I was crying my eyes out at this point.

“Then at the end it said ‘Here’s to the next chapter, turn around’ and when she turned around I was down on one knee. I literally could not get my words out, I was so overcome with emotion.”

N’aww.

Though they’re yet to set a date, Tom’s got a guestlist in mind, revealing he’ll be inviting former record label pal Justin Bieber and the Beckhams, who he bonded with after The Wanted performed at Romeo’s 10th birthday party in LA.

He’d also love his former bandmates to be ushers, and joked that Jay McGuiness, who won Strictly Come Dancing, could help choreograph his and Kelsey’s first dance, saying: “He was always the best dancer in the band.”

Kelsey is also pretty excited to tell good friend Pixie Lott their big news, saying: “I’m dying to tell her we’re engaged, she’ll be so happy!”

Fans and celebrity pals have been congratulating the two on Twitter:
