The Wright Stuff Bans Matthew's Stalker From The Studio

The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was a regular audience participant until she started making “a nuisance of herself” during shows and has since been blacklisted. However, the distance has only fuelled her obsession for the straight-talking host.

The woman has since called producers on the show - which is filmed at Whiteleys Shopping Centre in Bayswater – numerous times to say she’s in love with the 51-year-old presenter, who has been married to his second wife Amelia Gatte, pictured below, since 2010.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She was being disruptive and making a nuisance of herself during the show, so they have told her she can’t come back. But she has since been calling back saying she is in love with Matthew and that she thinks he is in love with her.

The source added: “It’s been the talk of the show backstage. She is Matthew’s biggest fan, but she has taken it a bit too far.”

Matthew’s daytime show discusses current affairs and dilemnas, such as “what advice would you give a man still a virgin at 28?” and shouldn’t be too worried by the woman’s advances since she isn’t the first person to fall deliriously in love with him.

The presenter - who has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here - told Digital Spy previously: “One of my all-time favourites was some very odd man who decided to accuse me of being his gay lover in about the last 90 seconds of the show.

“(He shouted) Why do you tell them these lies that you’re married? Why don’t you tell them the truth about that night on Brighton beach? Tell them you’re my gay lover.”
